Kamayan Fest

Kamusta. Hello

Kamayan Fest 2024

Step into a world of sensory delight at Kamayan Fest, where the heart of Filipinx culture comes alive. Delight in the colourful local artwork, groove to the rhythms of DJ Niña Mendoza, and savour delectable dishes crafted by Chef Mark Singson. This celebration is more than an event—it’s a tribute to community, diversity, and Filipinx excellence.

Explore Filipinx art and culture through engaging activations, innovative creators, and artistic visionaries, each sharing stories of resilience, identity, and pride. Every element of this festival celebrates the joy, creativity, and resilience of Filipinx heritage.

Dance and sing along to live performances and DJs blending OPM classics with contemporary beats, ensuring an electrifying dance floor. And of course, karaoke and line dancing are on the agenda—it’s not a Filipinx party without them!

Delight in a culinary adventure that fuses traditional Filipinx flavours with a modern twist—each bite a tribute to home-cooked recipes passed down through generations. BBQ chicken feet, anyone?

We acknowledge that Kamayan Fest is held on the traditional and unceded territories of the the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations,  who have been the stewards of this land for generations. We honour their enduring connection to this land, their culture, and their contributions to our community.

As we celebrate Kamayan Fest, we recognize the importance of supporting and standing in solidarity with Indigenous peoples. We commit to learning from and engaging with the Indigenous communities whose land we are privileged to gather on, respecting their rights and heritage.
